Carpinus betulus (Hornbeam) – multi-stem

Carpinus betulus, or Hornbeam, is one of England’s most popular trees. It is a large deciduous tree, with grey bark and ridged green leaves. The yellow autumn color is lovely and bright, and the browned leaves remain on the branches much longer than most other deciduous trees – sometimes all the way through to spring.
