Ilex crenata Maxima (Japanese Holly) – ball

Ilex crenata has small leaves and makes a great substitution for Common Box. It’s a popular topiary specimen which can be tightly trimmed. ‘Maxima’ is a compact, dense grower, with lighter green leaves that make a lovely contrast against the darker mature foliage.
