Fagus sylvatica Purpurea (Copper Beech) – ball

Beech is one of the most popular deciduous plants in England. It can grow into a lovely large tree, or be trained into hedging, topiaries or pleaches with pruning. This variety has deep purple-green leaves and is particularly striking when the new leaves are emerging and again in autumn when the leaves change to golden and coppery-bronze. It retains these bronzed leaves until well into late winter or early summer.
