Prunus lusitanica, or Portuguese Laurel, is the most popular plant we sell, be it in Instant Hedging, panels, pleached-trees or standards. The bright-green new growth changes to a darker green for the summer, and the medium-sized leaves are so numerous on the tree that they make for excellent, tight screening. Portuguese Laurel also takes pruning very well, and can be kept to a variety of shapes.
